Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has presented a brand new Tesla Cybertruck to his longtime associate and former record label signee, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, better known as Mayorkun.
Davido announced the surprise gift via his Instagram Story, where he shared a photo of the futuristic electric vehicle. Accompanying the image was a heartfelt message expressing his love and appreciation for the singer.
The generous gesture has since sparked excitement among fans on social media, with many praising Davido for maintaining a close relationship with Mayorkun despite the latter’s departure from DMW.
He wrote, “My gift to you. I love you #mayorkun,”

This gesture highlights the longstanding bond between the two music stars, whose relationship spans many years in the Nigerian entertainment industry. Mayorkun’s journey into mainstream prominence began in 2016 when Davido discovered him on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) after the aspiring act shared a cover of one of his songs.
Following that discovery, Mayorkun was signed to Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), where he quickly evolved into a powerhouse hitmaker, churning out chart-topping tracks like “Eleko,” “Mama,” and “Cheche.”
Although Mayorkun eventually transitioned out of the label setup to carve out an independent path for his career under major management frameworks, both artists have maintained a remarkably solid professional relationship and a strong personal friendship.
Over the years, they have frequently collaborated on music projects, supported each other’s independent ventures, and publicly celebrated mutual milestones.
