Vice President JD Vance and Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine raised concerns about dwindling U.S. munitions stockpiles during a White House meeting Friday as President Trump considered expanding military operations against Iran, CNN reported.
Multiple sources said few officials in Trump’s inner circle or at the Pentagon believed further escalation would produce the desired results. A Defense Department source told CNN that U.S. military operations against Iran are currently “on hold.”
