A renewed bandit assault has left one person dead and another injured in Magami Dantoro village, located in Gabake Ward of Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The attack was disclosed on Sunday by security analyst Bakatsine in a post shared on X.
According to the report, heavily armed bandits invaded the community on Saturday night, killing one resident and wounding another during the raid.
The attackers also looted valuables and other belongings from members of the community before fleeing the area.
“Last night, bandits attacked Magami Dantoro village in Gabake Ward, Kaura Namoda LGA of Zamfara State, killing one resident, injuring another and looting community property,” Bakatsine wrote.
The attack has left residents in fear, with many calling on the authorities to strengthen security in the area to prevent further attacks.
According to Bakatsine, despite the tragedy, community members appreciated the efforts of security personnel who responded to the incident.
They also prayed for lasting peace to return to Zamfara State, which has continued to face repeated attacks by armed bandits.
