A 20-year-old woman identified as Jamila has shared a painful account of her alleged ordeal after she was reportedly abducted by armed kidnappers while attending a family wedding in Katsina State, Nigeria.
Speaking during an interview with News Central TV, Jamila said the incident happened in December 2025 when she travelled to her aunt’s home in Yan Tumaki Ward for a wedding celebration.

According to Jamila, six kidnappers riding on two motorcycles stormed the location and forcefully took her away along with three of her friends.
She recalled that there were three armed men on each motorcycle and that the group had little chance to escape during the attack.
The survivor alleged that she and the other women endured repeated sexual assaults throughout the period they remained in captivity.
She said the abuse left lasting physical and emotional scars that continue to affect her life long after the incident.
Jamila further revealed that the child she is now raising was conceived during the period she was allegedly held by the kidnappers.
Carrying the baby on her back during the interview, she described the child as a painful reminder of the traumatic experience she went through.
Recounting the events, she said, “I travelled to my aunt’s house for a wedding in December last year when the kidnappers attacked us.
They came on two motorcycles, three men on each bike. They took us away, raped us, and that is why I now have this baby on my back.”
Her emotional testimony has drawn attention to the continuing insecurity affecting parts of northern Nigeria, where cases of kidnapping for ransom and attacks on rural communities have remained a major concern.
