Serbian businessman Ljubisa Karovic, 61, was partially sucked out of a Ryanair plane window at 20,000ft when the window broke on a flight from Greece to Germany
A Ryanair passenger who was partially sucked out of a plane window at 20,000ft has said the airline has done nothing except offer to rebook his flight following the terrifying ordeal.
Ljubisa Karovic, 61, was nearly ripped from the aircraft when the window broke in mid-air on a flight from Thessaloniki in Greece to Memmingen near Munich, Germany, on July 10.
His panicking wife Svetlana Grković told how she was forced to pull her husband back into the plane as he repeatedly lost consciousness during the horrifying emergency.
Serbian businessman Ljubisa has been left wearing a neck brace for at least six weeks. He claimed no Ryanair officials have been in touch with him directly following the incident, which made headlines around the world.
Ljubisa told the Daily Mail: “All we’ve had is emails to my son, who booked our flights, asking if we want to rebook and asking how I was. But nobody from the company has contacted me directly, not even a phone call to show any concern.”
His wife Svetlana claimed cabin crew “didn’t do anything” and merely “looked scared” while other passengers battled to cling on to Ljubisa’s legs as he was sucked from the cabin.
Medical staff met the Boeing 737 on the tarmac after it made an emergency landing back at Thessaloniki airport, with Ljubisa rushed to hospital.
Passengers described a bang “like a tyre bursting” before the window ruptured.
The Mirror has contacted Ryanair for a comment.
Ryanair’s group chief financial officer Neil Sorahan previously said: “Our customer care team have actively been in touch with the family since the incident.
“Our crew did a phenomenal job and got the aircraft back to Thessaloniki. Everyone, bar none, walked off the aircraft. It was a great job done by the cabin crew and the pilots.”
