A former member of the House of Representatives, Babatunde Oduyoye, has stepped down from the Oyo State Advisory Council.
Oduyoye, who represented Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West Federal Constituency under the now-defunct Alliance for Democracy (AD), announced his resignation in a statement issued on Monday.
The advisory council was established by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde to provide guidance and recommendations on policies and development initiatives aimed at advancing the state’s growth.
Oduyoye did not immediately disclose the reason for his resignation in the statement.
But, Oduyoye in the letter addressed to Makinde through the Chairman of the council Chief Bolaji Ayorinde said that he resigned over personal convictions.
“I write to intimate Your Excellency of my decision to resign my membership of the Oyo State Advisory Council forthwith.”
