A multi-vehicle accident involving articulated trucks and several other vehicles caused severe traffic congestion on Kara Bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Monday, leaving hundreds of commuters and transport operators stranded for hours.
The collision brought movement along the busy highway to a standstill, forcing motorists to endure lengthy delays while many renewed calls for improved safety measures on the bridge to curb the recurring accidents in the area.
Emergency responders and traffic officials were at the scene managing the situation and working to clear the affected vehicles to restore the free flow of traffic.
